In early March, a group of DSU Dance Program students and faculty attended the 2020 American College Dance Association Northwest Regional Conference at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA.
In addition to taking classes and workshops with faculty and other students from throughout the northwestern United States, students had an opportunity to perform in concerts adjudicated by esteemed professionals from the dance field. Both “Another Myself,” choreographed by Dance Faculty Jennifer Weber, and “Dysphoria,” choreographed by Senior Dance Major Kira Brown, received a warm reception from viewers and insightful feedback from the adjudicators. Additionally, the group was able to attend a performance by the well-known Mark Morris Dance Company. Overall, students expressed feeling grateful for the many, multifaceted dance experiences encountered during the nearly weeklong event.
